Overview
Practical Evacuation Exercises give you the opportunity to test the readiness of your staff in a controlled environment and identify any areas that require attention before a real emergency occurs. If you have an Emergency Control Organisation the Australian Standards 1851-2005 and 3745-2002 requires that they undergo an exercise every 6 months with a full staff evacuation every 12 months. An Evacuation Exercise tailored to your individual workplace needs is the perfect way to meet these standards, they can be carried as either part of employee or Warden emergency response training or as a stand alone activity.
Each exercise is planned in conjunction with either the Chief Warden or senior company representative to encompass all requirements of the Australian Standard 3745-2002 and your company’s individual needs.
The exercise is pre-briefed to the relevant personnel prior to the commencement of the exercise and a full de-brief to all members of the Emergency Control Organisation and other relevant parties is carried out immediately after the exercise. A written Evacuation Report is also provided highlighting all the relevant points and occurrences to assist with your company’s future emergency preparedness.
